TOZO Tonal Fits Review: Earbuds That Arrive With A Decent Design, Amazing Battery Life And Good Sound Quality At A Budget Friendly Price

Previously we have been reviewing a few of the audio products by TOZO and it was found out the company has always tried to introduce products that arrive with tons of features and at a reasonable price point. Today I am going to talk about yet another TOZO audio product- TOZO Tonal Fits which arrives at a price tag of Rs.3,100.

In this particular article, I will be sharing my experience with the TOZO Tonal Fits and exactly what these earbuds have to offer to their users at their budget-friendly pricing.

Packaging

TOZO Tonal Fits arrive with decent and minimalistic packaging. On the inside, you will find a case along with the earbuds and a USB Type-C charging cable. There is also a user manual and quick guide present for the users that helps them in the introduction of the earbuds, pairing with a smartphone, and knowing the various touch control gestures.

Design

The earbuds arrive in a pod-shaped case that has a matte finish while the earbuds feature a semi in-ear design. However, due to the semi in-ear design, the proper noise isolation was not possible. The marking of left and right is present on the earbuds while the charging pin, dual microphone, and speaker grille can also be seen. There is also an LED flash indicator on both earbuds. The earbuds boast 14.2mm drivers.

If we talk about the case, to maintain the matte finish you need to wipe the case once in a while. On the front, there is a digital display present that showcases the battery level of the case along with left and right earbuds. A Type-C port is also present on the backside of the case.

Well, when I used these earbuds while traveling they stayed in place and were quite comfortable but that was not the case when I used them while jogging as they felt a bit uncomfortable and a few times even fell off my ear. However, this may not be the problem for everyone due to differences in ear types. Wearing these earbuds for a long time was not a problem since the ear tips are made of soft silicone that doesn’t cause any irritation.

Connectivity and Compatibility

These earbuds support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and I was able to instantly pair the earbuds with my smartphone as soon as I took out the earbuds from the case. You will be able to find the “Tozo Tonal Fits” name on the available Bluetooth devices list and from there you can easily connect the earbuds to your device. After this, whenever you take out the earbuds from the case, they will automatically connect to your smartphone if the Bluetooth is on.

These earbuds support the TOZO companion app and just like the Bluetooth connectivity, pairing with the app is also super easy. After connecting the earbuds, the app will show the battery level of both the earbuds. While going to settings you can also check for any OTA updates.

When I connected the earbuds to the app I saw that there was an update available for the earbuds and therefore I upgraded them to the latest firmware version.

Apart from this, there were 16 preset EQ settings available that allowed me to enhance the listening experience and explore various listening options. The app also allows you to customize the gesture controls on the earbuds.

However, the noise cancellation features were not available for the TOZO Tonal Fits earbuds.

Features & Performance

The earbuds adopt Dual-mic Call Noise technology that is said to eliminate background noise and ensure clear calls. It arrives with an IPX8 waterproof rating and sweatproof nano-coating that protects the earbuds in various conditions.  The buds cover a 20Hz-20,000Hz frequency range. The maximum distance between earbuds and connected devices should not exceed 12 meters. The earbuds also support various touch gestures that make the user experience of listening to music or answering a call simple and easy.

Now if I talk about the performance, though these earbuds do not arrive with an ANC feature the listening experience was quite great. The sound clarity was amazing and with the 16 EQ modes, I was also able to explore various listening options. Also, the thing I really liked about these earbuds is no matter how loud I listened to music, the sound stayed clear and didn’t get noisy or fuzzy. It supports various touch sensors but the problem I faced was that the sensors on the buds were very sensitive, as even if I touched the earbuds accidentally it led to the unintended playback, music being paused or it got replaced with another music.

The dual microphones with noise-cancelling technology helped in providing clarity during calls. When I used the earbuds during a call while being out of home the other person was able to hear my voice clearly but due to the semi-in-ear design of the earbuds the outside noise was not completely reduced which caused a bit of a problem for me listening to the other person’s voice.

The IPX8 rating of the earbuds ensured that they can withstand sweat and rain drops which means users can wear these earbuds while working out without worrying about the damage of earbuds. These earbuds weigh 4.6g each which made them feel lightweight and due to their compact design, it was easily portable and hence became a perfect companion to carry around.

Battery life

The earbuds are equipped with a 48mAh battery each while the case was equipped with a 500mAh battery. The earbuds are said to offer 6 hours of playback time while along with the case it offers 44 hours of playback time which means a total of 50 hours of playback time. It took around 2 hours to charge these earbuds along with the case using the USB Type-C cable. Well at this affordable price range, the battery life of these earbuds surely impressed me.

Verdict

Looking at the overall features, design, and specifications of TOZO Tonal Fits I finally concluded that if you are looking for affordable earbuds that deliver good sound quality, a comfortable fit, and a long-lasting battery then the TOZO Tonal Fits is worth checking out. The 16 preset EQ modes on the TOZO app made listening to music bliss whether it was a symphony song or a pop song. Yes, the semi-in-ear design as mentioned above does cause less noise reduction but other than that there was not any major issue that I faced with these earbuds. Based on my experience, I would rate these earbuds 8 out of 10.

TOZO Tonal Fits is available for purchase on the company’s official website.
