Microsoft Integrates AI-powered Bing Search Engine with SwiftKey Keyboard App

Microsoft has announced that it is integrating its AI-powered Bing search engine with its SwiftKey keyboard app. This latest integration allows users to chat with the bot directly from their mobile keyboard and customize their texts and search for things without swapping between apps.

The new features on SwiftKey include Chat, Search, and Tone. With Chat, users can go for detailed queries and have a more conversational experience with the AI-powered bot. The Search function allows users to quickly explore the web from the keyboard. Finally, the Tone functionality aims to improve communication and lets users tailor texts with AI to fit any situation. The Tone feature can help users frame their sentences to sound more professional, casual, polite, or concise enough for a social post.

The Bing integration is available on both Android and iOS platforms and can be accessed by downloading the latest Microsoft SwiftKey 3.0.1 update from the App Store. The Chat, Search, and Tone features can be accessed from the Bing icon displayed on top of the keyboard.

Search is open for all users, but to access the Tone and Chat sections, users will have to sign up for a Microsoft account. SwiftKey should also be set as the primary keyboard on Android and iOS to take advantage of these features.

The integration of Bing with SwiftKey is a significant step for Microsoft in the mobile market. It will enable users to have a more seamless experience when using their mobile devices, allowing them to access information and communicate with others more easily.

This latest move by Microsoft follows its release of Bing and Edge browser apps for smartphones. By integrating its search engine with its mobile keyboard app, Microsoft is providing users with an all-in-one solution for their search and communication needs.
