ASUS’s Next Handheld Gaming Console- ROG Ally X Launching On 2 June

Last year ASUS unveiled its first handheld gaming console- ROG Ally. The console arrived with some amazing gaming features but the users had some concerns regarding the battery life of the device. Well, the company is now arriving with the successor of ROG Ally which is said to arrive with an improved battery life.

The company has today officially teased the launch of its next Ally which will be launching on 2 June. The launch event will be live-streamed on the company’s YouTube channel.

This upcoming gaming handheld console will be called ROG Ally X. The specs or features of the upcoming device are not disclosed officially. But as per a report by @TheVerge, it is revealed that ROG Ally X will be featuring an AMD Z1 Extreme chipset and a 7-inch 48-120Hz VRR display. The same features were also seen in ASUS ROG Ally.

The upcoming handheld is also said to arrive with a substantial battery life improvement. ASUS SVP Shawn Yen stated “We’re not looking at 30 to 40 percent more capacity. We’re looking at way more than that.” This means that ASUS fans will now get to see a gaming handheld that offers an amazing battery life.

Due to the larger battery life, the console is said to arrive with revised grips and slight tuning to D-Pad, Joysticks, and triggers. It will have a rearranged motherboard layout, more RAM, and a longer M.2 2280 SSD slot than the ROG Ally gaming handheld. Other than this the device is also said to be priced higher than the original.
