Now transact funds without any additional charges! SBI’s new guidelines!

To encourage fund/money transfers via mobile banking among the poor people, the India’s largest tech-bank, State Bank of India (SBI) has declared to waive off the SMS charges on the mobile fund transfers to initiate the transfers conveniently.

The users can now transact their funds without any additional charges using USSD services. Just by dialling *99# &, avail the banking services absolutely free. Eventually, the news was announced on the bank’s official account on Twitter.

The users can now avail the services like send money, request money, check the account balance, get mini statement and also can change their UPI pin, in free of cost.

The Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) is a service that is used for the fund transfers, checking account balance, bank statement, etc. The users can simply use the banking services like fund transfer or account statement in USSD. This service can be availed on phones without using a smartphone or an Internet connection by using *99# code.
