Samsung continues its December 2021 security update rollout with the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019). The entry-level tablet is now getting its newest security patch in a few countries. More markets should get the update over the next few days.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) comes with firmware version T515XXS8CUL2. It is available in Ecuador and Peru, and it includes the December 2021 security patch that fixes various vulnerabilities related to privacy and security. Samsung also usually adds other bug fixes and stability improvements with each new update, so we expect those to be present as well.

If you are a Galaxy Tab A 10.1 user in any of the countries mentioned above, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven't, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The South Korean firm had launched the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 in 2019 with Android 9 Pie. It received the Android 10-based One UI 2 update in mid-2020 and the Android 11 update six months ago.
