On Wednesday, we had the pleasure of sponsoring New Designers, an event that we hold close to our hearts. Sanderson has a rich history of supporting emerging talent, and this incredible showcase provides us the opportunity to sponsor an award and connect with graduates and new designers of exceptional skill. We would like to introduce Zumrad, (@zumrad.design on Instagram), the winner of the Sanderson award and a recipient of a 12-month paid placement in our design studio. Zumrad created a truly remarkable graduate collection inspired by the traditional dress of her native Uzbekistan. Pictured here with the Director of Sanderson Design Group, Claire Vallis. Thank you, New Designers, for such a wonderful day, It's always inspiring to meet so many talented individuals.

What a delight to have Morris & Co. sponsor the 2024/2025 Walpole book! Walpole is the UK's exclusive industry association for luxury brands, representing over 250 of Britain's premier establishments. Walpole’s mission involves championing, safeguarding, and fostering growth within the British luxury sector, showcasing its exceptional creativity, innovation, and talent on a global scale. Walpole's Book of British Luxury 2024/2025 explores the forward-thinking concepts and traditional craftsmanship that will influence the future of the UK's luxury industry and cultural landscape. Marking William Morris' 190th birthday earlier this year, the creative for this year's book cover was inspired by an original woodblock print of the Morris & Co. Sunflower design, first created by William Morris himself in 1879. Thank you, Helen Brocklebank, and the teams at both Walpole and Morris & Co. for bringing this to life. On Tuesday evening, we held a carefully curated event in our entrance hall, designed by Benedict Foley for Zoffany, at this year's WOW!House Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. We were honoured to welcome the wonderful team from QEST - Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and their scholars, alongside esteemed industry experts, members of the press, and close friends of both Zoffany and Benedict. The evening was a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship, a gathering of minds passionate about design and innovation. If you haven't experienced WOW!House yet, make sure to visit before the 4th of July!

This week has been all about Standfast and Barracks, our prestigious, historical fabric printing factory celebrating its centenary this year... With the official anniversary date back in April, celebrations have continued at a pace, and Wednesday saw our teams gather together for a very special occasion, highlighting the innovative work that Standfast & Barracks has become renowned for in its 100 years and toasting its achievements, of which there are many more to come. We held a celebration on Wednesday, and what a time we had! The Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, Amanda Parker, was in attendance to unveil our Grade II listed, newly restored Clock Tower and a commemorative plaque and presented Standfast with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise (which we won some time ago, but the pageantry of being awarded it during our celebrations was wonderful). Here's to many more years!
