Dreams do come true! Just ask Terry Rochester, a 61-year-old seasoned drummer from South Carolina who struck gold in a Guitar Center sweepstakes.  Terry won an all-expenses-paid trip to sunny Oxnard, CA, where he enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Drum Workshop, Inc. (DW Drums) and selected his own free custom snare drum. The prize package also included a surprise dinner with celebrity drummer Gregg Bissonette, leaving Terry completely stunned. Forget Lollapalooza....the best ticket in town was Guitar-A-Palooza! The Guitar Center Company recently celebrated our 2023 Mic Drop Award Winners and all our Support Center Associates at Guitar-A-Palooza, our rockin’ version of a company picnic. Associates and their families were treated to a delicious BBQ lunch, carnival games, music, prizes, and more! The real highlight of the day was the award ceremony recognizing our 2023 Mic Drop Winners for going above and beyond and making a real impact on our Company. Welcome Adolfo Rodriguez, our new EVP and Chief Technology & Information Officer for the Guitar Center Company!    With over 25 years of experience in technology transformation, emphasizing Fortune 500 retail enterprises, he most recently worked at Advance Auto Parts, where he drove innovative technology change across all functions, including eCommerce, stores, merchandising, inventory, pricing, and supply chain. His impressive background also includes tenures at Citrix and two decades at IBM. With such a distinguished career and a proven track record of driving excellence, Adolfo’s leadership will propel us to new heights. In his words: “A few years ago, someone asked me what my 'dream job' would be, and my answer was to lead technology at Guitar Center. As a musician for 15 years, this opportunity creates a perfect intersection between my personal and professional passions.
