For a long time I wanted to be a writer. I had no idea what I was going to write about. Little did I know that I would write about my adventures in tourism. As my writing here on LinkedIn becomes a weekly habit, this feels a bit like this is my own column. And how I like this! And I am happy you like reading it as well. So the other day I had a business meeting at my home office with one of my business partners. Actually I got a new personal contact and it’s always nice when a company makes an effort to get to know their partners as well. It’s an example of a personal approach which fits the DNA of Jasmine Travel as well. And of course I love to talk about what Jasmine Travel is and what my vision on travel is. It was a very energetic and enthusiastic talk. Sure, I could not miss on talking about my very recent trip to India and my passion for tourism in general. But what I always notice in these kind of talks. Is that I often get comments like: “this is not the image I have from India”. And I will exactly tell you why it’s not. And I am not claiming this is only the case for India. I am sure we have the same for many destinations. The image we have about a destination is often formed about what we see in the media, websites and online or what others tell us. Perception versus reality. So as a travel professional and a destination specialist for India I also feel that it is part of my work to give travellers an honest view on a country. My personal advice? Go and explore a country yourself and then make up your mind. The very nice and inspiring talk ended with a few sentences like: “ we don’t think there is anyone who offers travel journeys to India like you do” and “what a beautiful story Jasmine Travel has”. I could not have said it any better myself and I am most happy how my business partners look at me as a true travel ambassador for India. Photo Location: Hyatt Regency Amritsar ---------------------------------------------- 🌴 As a travel professional I love to share my vision about travel, my company and more 🌴 As a destination specialist I design bespoke luxury tours to India, UAE, Indonesia & Maldives 🌴 Feel free to send me an e-mail with your question info@jasminetravel-events.be 🌴I love sharing my personal travel journeys on my luxury travel blog Jasmine Travel Stories #India

Check out this article if you're curious about solo travel and slow travel!
Thanks Travel + Leisure India & South Asia and Adila Matra for this wonderful feature! In this interview, I talked about safety while travelling solo, the joy of slow travel, misconceptions about sustainable travel, and why I decided to teach the self-paced course, "Get Paid to Travel the World With Purpose." "To me, slow travel is a mindset. In our everyday lives, we’re constantly rushing to do things and our mind is constantly streaming through a million thoughts. Slow travel is the antidote to this rush. It is long walks in the countryside, hearing the birds on a silent morning, and having agenda-free days to chat with locals and follow their recommendations. Of course, having more time in a place is a bonus, but even if we have just three days in a place, a slow travel mindset can allow us to prioritize experiences that truly hold meaning for us, along with time to spend in quiet nature or learning from the local way of life." #slowtravel #sustainabletravel #travelwriting #travelblogger #digitalnomad #meaningfultravel
