Human Capital US Chief Marketing Officer @ Deloitte Consulting LLP | Making work better for humans and humans better at work

🎉 Thanks to Ian Keller, Brian Bryson, and Elizabeth Bramson-Boudreau, I had the opportunity to speak at the MIT Technology Review #EmTechDigital2024 event last Thursday on the topic of AI and the Next-Generation Workforce. Will share snippets of that segment in future posts, but for now, wanted to share a few takeaways I had from a very exciting lineup which featured industry and academic leaders who spoke on wind ranging topics related to Harnessing the Power of AI and Accelerating Innovation with AI. 1️⃣ while it feels like AI is advancing in leaps, it takes a series of small steps to make each leap possible. Organizations should consider the steps needed to make the leap to their own workforces fully adopting AI, such as establishing AI Ethics councils, AI fluency academies for upskilling the workforce, or even changing how employees are recognized for innovating with AI. 2️⃣ as more AI use cases shift from pilot to production, it will be important for organizations to challenge legacy concepts like what a typical job, or team, or even organizational construct looks like. 3️⃣ it is important to take a human centric approach, as efficiency with AI is good, but innovation and growth is better - and in a world where the population is aging and/or declining in certain geographies, AI has the potential to continue to unlock new avenues for human sustainability and human productivity. Thanks again to the MIT for having me, it was truly special to be part of the conversation. #Deloitte #HumanCapital #FutureofWork #GenAI #EnablinganAIpoweredWorkforce

Great stuff here and at the event. Only wish was that we had more time to dig into your first two takeaways...more time to explain the how, and perhaps a few more minutes to really re-think the definitions of jobs, work, and organizations would have been invaluable. Guess that just leaves us lots to cover next time :) Great stuff, Kyle. Pleasure working on this with you.
