Diving into AI can feel like standing at the edge of an ocean, vast and uncharted. The promise of transformation is alluring, leading many organizations to aim for sweeping changes right out the gate. Yet, time and again, we see that the most successful AI journeys begin with a single step, not a giant leap.   Here's the approach I recommend and practice:   • Begin with Clarity: Identify a specific AI application that addresses a crucial business need. This pilot project sets the stage for broader achievements. • Build Experience: Small initiatives help your team understand AI's practical benefits, not just its theoretical promise. • Minimize Risks: By starting with a contained project, you can adapt more nimbly and avoid the pitfalls of larger, more complex endeavors. • Cultivate Growth: Use the insights gained from quick feedback to refine and expand your AI applications. • Plan with Purpose: Keep sight of the larger goals as you build upon your initial successes, strategically advancing your AI agenda.   I've seen the spectrum of AI initiatives – from high-ambition projects that couldn't sustain their own weight, to those that began with a narrow focus, delivering concrete outcomes, and grew methodically into well-rounded, comprehensive solutions.   Patience and pragmatism are key when introducing AI into an organization. Start with achievable projects that deliver visible results and use these wins to build your capabilities. Over time, these small beginnings can transform into a robust AI strategy that delivers on its promise.   Have you started small with AI in your organization? What lessons have you learned along the way? Let's discuss!   #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #StartSmall #Innovation
