Last week marked two incredible milestones for CrowdStrike; joining the S&P 500 index and celebrating its 5-year IPO anniversary. Nine years ago, CapitalG led the $100 million Series C in what seemed at the time like a bold investment in a young, still fairly unknown cybersecurity company. CrowdStrike was the iconic startup back fighting to disrupt larger, entrenched incumbents. But its vision and technology were absolutely world-class, as were its leaders George Kurtz, Burt Podbere, Johanna Flower, Mike Carpenter and Amol K. (among so many other talented executives.) We recognized its potential to become a global leader, and today, CrowdStrike is that and so much more. CrowdStrike has redefined modern cybersecurity and shown the world what it means to be a truly generational company. It was the honor of a lifetime to partner with Crowdstrike, and it has been a thrill to watch its transformation from ambitious upstart to global titan. Together, AlphaSense and Tegus will accelerate growth, innovation, and content expansion, bringing their complementary product and content capabilities together to enable our customers to unearth even more comprehensive insights from thousands of content sets. And that’s not all - as part of the deal, we’ve also raised a $650M funding round co-led by Viking Global Investors and BDT & MSD Partners, and joined by new investors, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, SoftBank Investment Advisers, Blue Owl Capital, Alkeon Capital, as well as existing investors Alphabet’s CapitalG and Goldman Sachs Alternatives. WE’VE PUBLISHED OUR FY2024 ANNUAL REPORT 🎉 🚀 We recorded our first full year of profitability, achieving a pre-tax profit of £15.4m. A mega milestone on our mission to make money work for everyone!  📈 Revenue increased 2.5x to £880m thanks to growth across all areas of the business.  👥 Our total number of customers increased 31% to 9.7m and we’re the UK’s 7th largest bank. 💰 Customer deposits grew 88% to £11.2bn, and card spend increased 42% to £47.8bn. 🏆 Customers voted us #1 bank for Overall Service Quality according to an independent survey that the Competition and Markets Authority asks Ipsos Mori to carry out each year in Great Britain. 💪 We closed the sector’s largest European capital raise of the past year, raising close to £500m in new investment in a round led by Alphabet’s independent growth fund CapitalG.
