Koo could have been the Indian answer to the West for X/ Twitter. I strongly believe that Indian VCs and LPs have to step up. If every one only wants to fund grocery delivery, makeup products then how will we see innovations coming from India. Plus India keeps missing on million dollar ideas and economies due to short term money mindset. There is something called Long term planning, which I could see is missing in the India capital market. Best of luck Aprameya Radhakrishna both TaxiForSure.com and Koo were wonderful ideas. Hoping to see you soon #koo #indianVC #startups #venturecapital
Thanks for giving this your best shot Appu and Mayank.
Saddened to hear about the news of Koo shutting down. Building a startup is an incredible challenge, and I know how much heart and effort you poured into Koo. While the outcome may not be what you envisioned, the journey itself is valuable. You've gained invaluable experience, built a strong network, and undoubtedly made a positive impact on the tech landscape. Take time to be proud of what you achieved with Koo. Your dedication and innovation are inspiring. I'm curious to see what exciting ventures you embark on next. In the meantime, please know that many people are rooting for you.
Thank you for the ambition and the guts to build something that could compete globally. All the best for the future.
Been there. Goodbyes are hard and this post makes me sad. The little bird from India chirped and fluttered but life is unpredictable. I know how it feels to shut something off unwillingly due to some external factors but then the phoenix always rises. Companies come and go but the entrepreneurship zeal of a builder always remains. I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do in the future. Founders never throw in the towel and I know something incredible will come from this dynamic duo. Till then, take good care of yourself. Aprameya Radhakrishna
Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka - this is a beautiful, moving and poignant note. You both built magic for India, from India, giving India a true seat at the table. This will not be forgotten. Your courage has already inspired millions. Your efforts have already changed the course of many life ledgers, in more ways, than is obvious today. And that is your gift to India. And we're all excited to co-create with you both, for your what next. You've been cheered on in rooms you were not in, and this trigger point will influence the ecosystem to have more long term patient capital, in the longer term 🥲
Appu, it’s unfortunate and nothing else. Wishing you and the team the best. Wishing you the best for next challenge. Sending love and warm regards. Please take care of yourself. Keep chasing audacious goals like you have always done, which can make a dent in the way we all live.
Down but not out my friend. Keep it up. All the best for your next journey.

6dFrankly speaking, from a consumer perspective ! There was never a hype or peer pressure types to get onto this platform ! Maybe it wasn’t marketed well !
