- In the time we spend together during this course, we'll cover some sensitive topics. You may be seeing some of this material for the very first time. For others, you may have personally experienced some of what we'll cover. It can bring up a wide range of emotions. Feel free to take breaks and take the time to learn and review this material at your own pace, whatever feels most comfortable for you. I'll also share my experiences as a woman of color and as a marketer who was born, educated, and trained in the U.S. market. While many of the examples I share throughout this course will be U.S.-based and tied back to U.S. history, what you'll learn can also be applied to markets all around the world. The examples I'll primarily use focus on the Black and African American community. While I don't identify as Black or African American, I'm on a personal journey to continue to be an ally for this community.
