Overview :

Reporting to the Ecommerce Operations Sr. Manager, the Web Merchandising & Content Specialist is part of a cross-functional team that works together to optimize online merchandising for sales growth and to provide customers with a best-in-class online shopping experience. They will contribute to product set-up efforts for all weekly launches and promotions and will use his/her knowledge of J.Jill’s products, along with merchandising best practices, to maintain the product catalog and categories. The Web Merchandising Analyst & Content Specialist will also work closely with Creative Merchandising to monitor availability of products featured across the site in creative content. and will maintain and update promotional content on the site.


Responsibilities :

  • Owns item/product setup for all categories (Apparel, Footwear, Accessories)
  • Executes weekly/daily site maintenance using all internal systems to ensure all in-stock products are active and available-to-buy and classified in appropriate categories with product copy, correct selling and pricing information.
  • In partnership with the store operations team, manages all store locator updates to ensure all local store information is accurate and up to date.
  • Learns and understands the core capabilities available for product and category management within the ecommerce platform including product data attribution and taxonomy
  • Performs post product launch audits to validate all products have the appropriate PDP images.
  • Responsible for ensuring product videos are appropriately added to each PDP for all product launches.
  • Collaborates with Creative Merchandising to monitor product inventory and availability to ensure that creative content consistently showcases only items that are readily available
  • Manages and maintains cross-selling modules based on direction from Creative Merchandising
  • Owns and maintains content updates to the Narvar Returns Log In and Shipment Tracking pages via the Narvar portal.
  • Applies front-end working knowledge to code and schedule site content including global banners, category banners, and grid tiles for promotional launches.
  • Performs early morning (6 am ET) site checks as needed (site checks are a shared responsibility across the ecommerce operations team)

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field
  • 4+ years of Ecommerce Merchandising experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with product attribution and ecommerce systems
  • Strong knowledge of Ecommerce business and operations including, but not limited to: product data and catalog management, site content planning and execution, user experience, QA best practices and A/B testing
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
