Position Overview
As the VP of Equipment Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various operational aspects, including empty container, chassis, and genset operations. Collaboration with departments across North America and our headquarters will be pivotal in maintaining identified service levels and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory and Maintenance Management:
Establish and enforce standards and policies for container, chassis, and genset inventory.
Develop efficient processes for the movement, maintenance, and repair of empty containers and chassis.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with headquarters to ensure an adequate supply of empty equipment on vessels.
Collaborate with Marine Operations to optimize vessel space utilization.
Cost Management:
Manage domestic products, offhire, and container sales programs.
Minimize depot costs and build a network of cost-effective repair vendors.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and controls for equipment operations.
People Management:
Foster a positive work environment through coaching and feedback.
Set clear goals and provide support for employee development.
Required Skills And Experience

Proficient in setting priorities and performance targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience, including 5 years in a management role.
