• This position is onsite in Baltimore, MD 21201.


Overview

• Our client is seeking a Technical Trainer & Support Analyst to join a prominent law firm based in Baltimore City, known for providing comprehensive legal services across a wide range of practice areas. The primary focus as a Technical Trainer will be to develop, maintain, and deliver training on all applications in use within the firm. The secondary focus as a Support Analyst will be to provide end user technical support as part of the IT Group.


Responsibilities

• Provide training for all applications in use within the firm (Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, document management system, litigation docketing application, online research applications, document assembly applications, collaboration applications, telecommunications applications, etc.).

• Respond to requests either in-person, via e-mail, over the phone, or via video.

• Prepare and maintain end user training materials / programs.

• Perform end user onboarding and continuing education training.

• Assist with conference room meeting setup (Audio, Video, Teams, Zoom, etc.)

• Install, modify, and repair basic computer hardware and software.


Required Skills & Experience

• Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, Legal Studies, Business Administration, Technical Training, or similar.

• 3+ years of working experience in technical training, systems analysis, legal administrative assistance, and/or learning and development, preferably in the legal industry.

• Experience updating existing training documentation and creating new training documentation pertaining to applications used by end users.

• Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office - namely Microsoft Word.

• Ability to quickly learn new IT systems and applications.

• Hands-on experience with diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Customer-oriented and patient.


Team Dynamics & General Responsibilities:

• This individual will be joining the IT Group - which delivers IT services for the firm.

• For this particular position, the core function of this position is going to be technical trainer – primarily responsible for creation, curation, and delivery of application specific training (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.) document troubleshooting, formatting, and assistance.

• Secondarily, this person will be tasked with doing the easiest level of application support - to include password reset, fixing paper jams, general guidance on how to navigate Windows, Microsoft Office, and the Internet, etc.


Preferred Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree.

• Experience using Microsoft Access.

• Knowledge of SQL.

• Experience using a metadata removal tool to scrub metadata.

• Knowledgeable of basic legal content such as table of authorities, table of contents, transaction binders, etc.
