WINK News is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Projects Producer to join our team. We are looking for an individual who excels in storytelling and upholds a high standard of journalism. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing investigative stories from inception to completion, including research, fact-checking, copy editing, and pre-broadcast/publication editorial and legal review.
As the Special Projects Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. Our Special Projects and investigative journalism teams produce long-form stories as well as single-topic news specials that cover important issues and events. Additionally, the Special Projects Producer must be adept at leveraging all available resources to swiftly develop stories that support significant breaking news. Our commitment to excellence in journalism extends beyond television and includes our digital outlets and other company media platforms.
To succeed in this role, a well-rounded understanding of legal and ethical principles related to newsgathering, public records searches, and other values-based journalistic practices is essential. We value effective leadership and collaborative skills, as you will be reporting to the Digital News Director and Executive Producer of Special Projects and Investigations.

Qualifications:
Degree in broadcast journalism preferred
Prior experience working with news investigations
Understanding of legal and ethical journalistic practices
Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
