Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Provide specialized instruction and support, tailoring approaches to meet individual learning goals and needs.
Assess student progress, adapt curriculum materials, and implement behavior management techniques to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in education followed by a Master's or Doctoral Degree in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs.
Specialization in certain student groups (e.g., K-12, Mild-Moderate Level Students, or Severe Autism) which may be listed as endorsements on your license.
Experience with student evaluations and IEPs (Individualized Education Program/Plan).
Active Special Education State Teaching License.
For virtual positions (VOCO): State License, 2 Years of School Experience, and Education Certificate if required.
Teaching credential with any of the 6 Special Education endorsements.
