The Biden For President campaign is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Special Assistant and Project Manager who will support the People Team with strategic, operational, and administrative tasks for key initiatives across various team disciplines. This position will report to and provide direct support to the Chief People Officer and the extended senior People team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of work streams and timely and effective completion of projectsProvide administrative and project management support to the People Team
  • Coordinate with other similar roles across the campaign to ensure appropriate coordination and communication on cross-team work
  • Manage processes for reporting out on short- and long-term projects to organizational leadership and key external stakeholders
  • Write and produce reports, decks, memos, and communications on behalf of the Chief People Officer and senior People team
  • Organize, optimize, and facilitate team meetings as needed
  • Participate in meetings, take notes, and support completion of action items
  • Assist team with hiring and onboarding of new staff
  • Support People team function processes from role approval, to job posting, offer stage, and new hire orientation
  • Perform coordination, documentation, project management, systems and data management, and reporting
  • Assist with People team-led trainings and meetings including manager trainings, new hire orientation, internal People team meetings, and all staff meetings, where relevant
  • Serve as an employee-facing resource to answer questions and help guide people to where they need to be
  • Work closely with HR and Operations teams to optimize overall candidate experience
  • Other duties as assigned, including internal/external event support, scheduling, research, document review and editing, and information management


Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience in a professional environment, with experience in HR and/or Operations
  • Ability to handle multiple, high priority projects, in a fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information
  • Attention to detail and bias toward action, following up, and project completion
  • Prior campaign experience preferred with experience volunteering or working on a political campaign’s Human Resources or Operations team
  • Willingness to relocate to Wilmington, Delaware
