Summary

The Spanish Color Analyst will provide the highest possible analysis to complement our Spanish play x play and create chemistry on the air. This requires a great deal of prep work including watching film, note taking and research. The Spanish Color Analyst will also conduct himself in the highest professional manner at all times while on work trips and around NFL personal.

Primary Job Duties

The Spanish Color Analyst will have daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following:

  • Assists the main Play-by -Play announcer typically by filling in when play is not in progress.
  • Exchange comments freely throughout the radio broadcast with the Play-by-Play Reporter.
  • When the main announcer is not describing the action, the color commentator will provide expert analysis and background information, such as statistics, strategy, and injury reports on the teams and players, and occasionally anecdotes or light humor.
  • Spend several hours at the stadium and on the road preparing for the game, reviewing the game notes and statistics, and participating in pre-and postgame discussions with the Play-by-Play announcer.
  • Participate 2 hr. pregame, 3 ½ in game, and 15 min post-game show throughout the entire NFL Schedule.
  • Produce a weekly capsule that will be publish on the Arizona Cardinals Spanish social media (topic TBD).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Completed Bachelor degree, or equivalent experience
  • Experience: At least one (1) year of experience as a Spanish radio broadcaster preferred
  • Spanish and English language speaking, writing, reading, and comprehension fluency.
  • This role will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat.
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Professional communication skills while working with colleagues in various departments across the organization.
  • Must possess a solid understanding of American football and the NFL.
  • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Travel to all home and away games during the NFL season.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
