We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Senior Risk Consultant. In this role, you'll play a vital part in our Property Risk Consulting Group, where every day presents new challenges and opportunities for growth.
Location: Chicago, IL (Remote options available)
What You'll Do
Dive deep into property risks associated with fire, earthquake, flood, and other natural catastrophes, collaborating with both colleagues and clients to develop innovative solutions.
Utilize your expertise in Highly Protected Risk (HPR) property engineering, navigating NFPA and Factory Mutual standards with ease, while also demonstrating a solid grasp of property insurance policy terms and conditions.
Manage client, carrier, and insurance brokerage relationships with finesse, effectively communicating complex risk management concepts to diverse audiences.
Travel domestically, exploring various locations across the U.S. for approximately 40-50% of your time.
Key Responsibilities Include
Gathering and analyzing Construction, Occupancy, Protection, and Exposure (COPE) data to inform risk assessments.
Supporting brokerage submissions and producing comprehensive summary documents.
Participating in carrier meetings and coordinating vendor relationships.
Conducting property risk control surveys and preparing underwriting reports for different occupancies.
Assessing natural catastrophe exposure and recommending strategies for mitigation.
Applying industry best practices to resolve technical fire protection issues.
