What You’ll Take On:

Trademark & Copyright

  • Communicate, coordinate with, and support in-house and/or outside counsel to diligence trademark registration filings and renewals worldwide.
  • Conduct in-house trademark clearance searches and prepare clearance reports for attorney and client review.
  • Correspond with attorneys and business teams concerning trademark clearance, trademark applications, trademark registration maintenance, and trademark usage.
  • Support attorneys to provide guidance regarding proper use of trademarks.
  • Prepare materials for copyright applications and coordinate with outside counsel to file applications.

Enforcement

  • Monitor online infringement of T2’s copyrights and trademarks on social media, e-commerce stores, and other online sites.
  • Manage copyright and trademark takedowns and escalations, and serve as one of the primary legal contacts for IP enforcement matters.
  • Maintain databases used to track, report and analyze data in support of online enforcement activities. Identify emerging trends and threats and make recommendations for improving enforcement efforts.

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience as a trademark paralegal with high-level responsibilities on a global trademark portfolio.
  • Experience as a paralegal in-house working in entertainment, technology, or entertainment-adjacent industry. Experience with games a plus, but not required.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly detail-oriented and strong proofreading skills.
  • Strong research skills including legal research, internet searches and intellectual property database searches.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, effectively handle shifting priorities, and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to learn and grow in the role.
  • Sense of humor.

The pay range for this position in New York City at the start of employment is expected to be between $98,400 and $145,620 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
