Senior Freelance Experiential Designer & Creative Recruiter

Founded in 2012, Invisible North is a female-owned creative marketing agency headquartered in NYC with global reach. We are a team of culturally fluent strategists, creatives, designers and producers pushing the limits of possibility. Together we champion creativity and build thoughtful experiences and content that solve business problems and bring brands to life.

We are seeking a Senior Integrated Producer, with experience rooted in experiential production, to join our team. You will be responsible for:

  • Running an experiential tour over the course of 6+ months, including planning and executing up to 30 small-to-large scale pop-up events including potential frequent travel for a premium spirits brand
  • Owning production planning and execution of integrated experiential projects, often incorporating film/video, custom interactive/digital components, or social campaigns
  • Guiding projects with an entrepreneurial spirit by prioritizing partnership, evolving best practices, and breaking the mold with new ways of thinking

You will be leading projects by providing production expertise at every opportunity, suggesting strategic alternatives, authoring and managing budgets, vendor management, and production research. You should be more than comfortable interacting with clients and managing junior staff. Additionally, you should positively contribute to making Invisible North’s culture the envy of the industry; where great people with great vibes make great work, every day. You will be comfortable always being two steps ahead, have strong people and negotiation skills, and are great at staying calm under pressure. This role will report to the Head of Production, and work collaboratively in-house with Account leads, Creative leads, Creative Technology leads, and producers specializing in film and content.

While our main office is located in DUMBO Brooklyn, we work as a distributed team with members reaching from Maine to LA, and everywhere in between.

This position is contracted on an initial three-month freelance basis with the opportunity to become full-time. Full-time salary will range from $115-135K commensurate with experience.

Roles + Responsibilities

  • Report to Production Leadership on overall project status
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, design department, hired contractors, and on-site event & production staff
  • Mentor junior staff including an Associate Producer direct report, and review their forecasts, approve their PTO, and flag scheduling conflicts to the Head of Production
  • Think strategically and proactively about client goals, creative concept workaround options, event formats, and program structures
  • Utilize Invisible North’s project management & communication tools
  • Manage & evaluate external vendors with agency and clients’ needs in mind
  • Ensure event technical, logistical & AV needs are properly managed
  • Work with the team to create all necessary production documents (project tracker, ROS, cue sheets, backstage flow & directions, scripting, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain production budgets
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of development
  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams in order to make sure productions are within legal guardrails, finance policies, and budget management

Skills + Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 years of industry experience with experiential programs, and 2+ years of production experience in at least one additional area: film/video, digital/social, interactive/creative tech
  • Ability to work remotely with a preference for New York City-based producers if the position moves to full-time. New York City-based team members have a hybrid format with 2 - 3 days in office required starting in September, 2024.
  • Passion for lifestyle, theater, music, pop culture, art, and technology
  • Be organized, creative, outgoing, solutions-oriented, and have a great work ethic and attitude
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment while managing a team; ability to work efficiently and be available remotely and onsite for activations
  • Able to find ways to be flexible in order to execute programs alongside a team
  • Previous work leading the execution of small-to-large-scale productions and multi-location tour programs, and international project experience a plus
  • Ability to successfully multitask, and take ownership of assigned projects
  • Have relationships with production vendors, and venues
