The Senior Construction Manager will oversee and manage all construction activities for our chemical and alternative fuel projects in the Gulf Coast region. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing large-scale industrial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Team Management: Supervise and mentor project managers, engineers, contractors, and other on-site personnel. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency. Prepare and present financial and progress reports to senior management.
Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and project specifications.
Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety across all project sites. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and company policies.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies. Maintain clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as industry standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role overseeing large-scale industrial projects in the chemicals or alternative fuels industry.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, multidisciplinary teams. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
