Senior Commercial Counsel

We are currently seeking a Commercial Contracts Attorney to join a publicly-traded, cutting-edge, biotech company on an interim to perm basis. Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of commercial contracts experience with excellent communication and analytical skills. Although work can be performed remotely, qualified candidates must work and reside in North Carolina, Oregon or Western, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Review, red-line, draft, and negotiate a range of contracts for a busy life sciences team, including partnership agreements, collaboration agreements, licensing agreements and other complex and cross-border agreements.
• Advise internal business teams on potential risks and regulations impacting deals and strategize with internal and external counsel to mitigate risk while driving business and development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between legal requirements and business objectives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide proactive legal guidance and support.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Well-versed in drafting licensing agreements, collaboration agreements, sponsorship agreements, MSAs, SOWs and other commercial agreements.
• Experience partnering directly with sales and/or internal business teams and ability to explain complex legal issues and potential risks in a clear and concise manner.
• Candidates with experience in the life sciences industry with knowledge of research and development processes are encouraged to apply.
• License, in good standing, to practice law in the jurisdiction in which you intend to practice.
• Candidates must be located in North Carolina, Oregon or Western Pennsylvania.
  
  

Compensation, Benefits & Location:

This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $125,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more. Axiomites predominately work remotely, with the exception that some clients require on-site presence.
