Required Qualifications At This Level
Education/Training
Work generally requires skills acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology or other science related scientific field program.
Experience
Work requires two years of research experience. A related master's degree may offset required years of experience on a 1:1 basis, e.g., a two year master's degree in lieu of two years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Prefer neuroscience, psychiatry, pharmacology, toxicology or related field
Research experience involving behavioral studies in mice and/or cell culture is a plus
Experience in biostatistics, R and/or database analysis
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must be detail-oriented, very well organized, and approach laboratory procedures with critical thinking of the technical aspects
Must adhere to strict safety and reporting requirements
Ability to work and communicate effectively in a dynamic group environment

Work Performed:
- Analyze single cell data as part of two grants and write the manuscript.
- Design new projects based on these data and write grants associated with these designs.
- Determine tests, to include specific bioinformatics information for projects based on specialized bioinformatics knowledge and needs of grant related experiments.
- Organize and prepare scientific data for analysis by the PI.
- Assist PI with performing complex experiments and data analysis for eventual publication.
- In conjunction with PI, develop plans for research projects and experiments.
