Regional General Manager (Healthcare Technology Management)

The InterMed Group is a medical equipment service company exceeding the needs of our customers and building a reputation as a leader in the Biomedical industry for over 25 years! InterMed sells and services medical equipment for our customers across the country and we are growing! This rapid growth has us searching for an experienced Regional General Manager.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Service Operations, the Regional General Manager is responsible for delivering the business results necessary to achieve revenue and profit targets through managing multiple accounts, ensuring operational excellence, and cultivating robust customer relationships within a designated region. This role involves leading a team of professionals, including Regional Service Managers, Technology Managers, and service technicians, to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible to deliver annual business results
  • Provide leadership and direction to Tech Managers and service technicians, including training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee repairs, calibrations, and maintenance of medical equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch to coordinate service requests and ensure timely completion.
  • Report monthly performance results to company leadership.
  • Develop and manage budgets in alignment business objectives.
  • Renew contracts and identify opportunities for growth within the region.
  • Manage on-call schedules, overtime, and billing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company security policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and promptly address any concerns.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist sales staff with quotes and manage projects to completion within budget.
  • Develop and implement training programs for service technicians.
  • Establish support policies, create service documentation, and refine procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Certification in relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience.
  • Profound knowledge of healthcare technology management (HTM).
  • Ability to interpret technical procedures and regulatory documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of sales principles is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Requires excellent communication and follow through skills, and a high level of comfort working with databases and technology. Occasionally dealing with high stress issues relating to client demands. Occasionally lift parts and equipment over 20lbs. Works constantly while sitting (67% to 90% of the time) on the phone and computer entering data and coordinating service. Must be able to travel to InterMed offices, customer locations, and other destinations for business related functions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Requires routine contact with staff and clients. May require after hours work on a company-provided phone and/or laptop. Work is normally performed in air conditioned/heated facilities.
