Position Summary

The Region Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of all EDMO programs under their charge. The Region Manager also oversees scheduling, training and feedback cycles for all staff who work at their programs.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and support EDMO programs under their charge.
  • Oversee all programs staff connected to the programs they manage.
  • Manage and maintain partnerships with school districts.
  • Evaluate and assess program strengths and weaknesses and think strategically about opportunities, adjustments, new ideas, and ways to improve programs.
  • Hire, coach, manage and help train all staff that are working in their programs.
  • Visit sites to manage programs as needed - be prepared to assist in any way needed across all EDMO programs in cases of an emergency.
  • Meet with school district partners on a regular basis.
  • Meet with the Programs team on a regular basis to deliver updates on deliverables and timelines as needed.
  • Meet with the Curriculum Director and curriculum team on a regular basis to stay up to date on themes and training.
  • Meet with the Customer Relations team on a regular basis to troubleshoot any issues that may come up related to EDMO programs in their charge.
  • Review family surveys about their program and use survey results to implement program improvements.
  • Use feedback from observations to implement plans for program improvement and additional training as needed.
  • Performs any other duties as may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Have 1:1 in person meetings with Directors of their programs.
  • Meet with other staff members of their programs when needed.
  • Help with the interviewing process for hiring Site Directors.
  • Plan observation and coaching feedback cycles for staff and check in about feedback.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in education or a related course of study or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with youth of all ages.
  • Past involvement in a summer camp environment as staff.
  • Experience hiring, managing, and coaching a team of employees.
  • High sense of responsibility and dependability.
  • Experience interacting with parents.
  • Skilled in problem solving, multi tasking, creativity and flexibility.
  • Experience facilitating groups of children and/or staff.
  • Collaborative, patient and positive attitude with a willingness to problem solve.
  • High level of experience providing feedback.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel around to different programs and make site visits.

Compensation

This is a Full time, regular exempt position. The salary range is $68,000-$70,000 yearly and will be commensurate with experience and location.

JOB LOCATION: This is a hybrid position based in Salinas, CA. While the role is primarily on site visiting programs and supporting as needed it also allows for some remote work and attendance of remote meetings with the larger team. Candidates must be located in the Salinas area. The ability to commute to onsite locations as needed is an essential aspect of this role.
