We're looking for a driven and enthusiastic Recruiter and People Coordinator to join our dynamic team at DearDoc. In this role, you'll primarily focus on recruiting, handling end-to-end processes for roles spanning Sales, IT, Customer Success, Marketing, etc., across the US and Mexico. Additionally, you'll support our People Operations by assisting with HR tasks, facilitating new hire training, managing office operations, providing IT support, and organizing company events. Department: People Operations

Reports To: Director of People Operations

Location: NYC Office - Hybrid, 3 days in Office

Salary: $70k base/year plus quarterly performance-based bonus. OTE $80k

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Conducts preliminary screening video calls with potential candidates to fully understand their needs and develop a strategy moving forward. The spectrum of roles encompasses, yet is not confined to, Sales, IT, Customer Success, Marketing, etc., spanning both the United States and Mexico
  • Outreach and candidate prospecting via LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Assists in identifying effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
  • Post jobs to necessary job boards in addition to manual recruitment
  • Assists managers in scheduling interviews, preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions
  • Meaningfully contributing to team meetings, trainings, policies, strategy and culture


Employee Onboarding and Engagement:

  • Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and deliver training on company policies, culture, and job-specific tasks
  • Prepare onboarding materials and assist in managing employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities (e.g., philanthropy initiatives, buddy system, new hire check-in’s)
  • Coordinate diversity training initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace culture
  • Plan and execute company events, managing logistics and budgets
  • Identify opportunities for HR process improvement and employee experience enhancement


Office and IT Support:

  • Oversee daily office operations and maintain a well-organized work environment
  • Manage office supplies, coordinate maintenance, and liaise with vendors
  • Assist with IT equipment setup and maintain inventory documentation


HR Administration:

  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies


Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to team meetings, trainings, and strategies aimed at enhancing company culture and operational efficiency


Skills & Background

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 1-2+ years of experience in HR coordination, office management, or a similar role preferred


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with HR software and systems such as Lever, Rippling, and Monday.com is a plus
  • Basic IT skills, including setting up laptops and troubleshooting common technical issues


Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism


Project Management:

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues
