Project Engineer
Job Description:
Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to assist in managing multiple projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and specialty chemical industries. You may be assigned projects from award to closeout or projects at various stages of development. This position may be resident at one of our client sites or from our office in Lisle, IL.

Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to assist in managing multiple projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and specialty chemical industries. You may be assigned projects from award to closeout or projects at various stages of development. This position may be resident at one of our client sites or from our office in Lisle, IL.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling assigned aspects of projects
- Work hand in hand with Project Managers, various engineering disciplines, Estimators, Contractor Foremen and General Superintendents
- Technical communication/coordination lead across all engineering disciplines, Clients, General Contractors, Vendors, Subcontractors, and Management Staff
- Developing Scopes of Work for construction of engineered designs
- Make sure projects are following the scope and schedule
- Processing submittals from vendors to working through revision and equipment releasing
- Lead Client and Contractor interface, scheduling / attend meetings, and provide written reports
- Assist in constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Experience:Min Yr = 3 Max Yr = 15+
- Technical Skills: Scheduling and planning software experience preferred
- Management: Experience leading small teams required
- Other Skills: Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing projects
- Expanding experience in larger, more diverse, and complex projects
- Growth in leading technical teams as subject matter expert or Project Manager
- Advanced skills in multi-discipline technical and managerial issues
- Exposure to cost controls, estimating, scheduling, and team management
- You must possess physical mobility (on the ground and at heights)
- You may be required to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
- You may be required to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding/ladders using the appropriate and required fall protection
- You must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing the appropriate PPE. This may include but not be limited to a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather, steel-toed work boots
- You may be required to position yourself to work in confined spaces
- You may be required to adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site
- You may be required to meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site
