GoodParty.org

Partnerships Manager

GoodParty.org United States

GoodParty.org is looking for an innovative Partnerships Manager or Senior Partnerships Manager (title is flexible and will be commensurate with experience). This role will be responsible for creating, growing and managing partnerships with organizations and advisors to unlock growth opportunities and build awareness for a platform and movement disrupting the broken status quo of American politics.

About GoodParty.org:

GoodParty.org is a tech platform and movement powering the mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy.

GoodParty.org is founded and fully-funded by serial entrepreneur, Farhad Mohit, with over $1B in exits — including Flipagram (now TikTok), Shopzilla, and BizRate.

Why?

Americans – especially young people – are losing faith in democracy. The rigged, two party system has turned “Independent” into a dirty word. Voters are trapped between choosing the lesser of two evils or sitting out elections altogether.

A majority of eligible voters (over 130M Americans), including more than half of Millennials and Gen Z, say that neither Republicans, nor Democrats represent them. But they keep getting re-elected! Whether you’re concerned about the environment, healthcare costs, wars, inequality, or our individual freedoms, many great solutions are held back by the dark doom-loop of dysfunctional partisan politics.

While mainstream media and the two major parties focus on federal elections (e.g. Congress and President), GoodParty.org is building from the bottom up. With over 500,000 elected offices in the United States, 70% of which are uncontested, we are powering a grassroots revolution to take back our communities from career politicians by helping real people run and win local and state level campaigns all across the country.

How?

GoodParty.org’s solution is to make it simple to run, win and serve. We offer free AI powered tools to help real people run and win elections, independent of partisan support or big money. We train people to run for office and support candidates who take our pledge so they don’t have to sell out to the Democrats or Republicans, raise big money, or cow-tow to special interests. Our free AI Campaign Manager and team with 50+ years of campaign experience make running, winning and serving as an independent, people-powered anti-corruption candidate possible.

We’re also building a movement of bright, caring Americans who are ready to end this country's two-party political dysfunction. Our community’s collective power is being harnessed to elect the most promising independents around the country. By leveraging social media and creators, we’re making our mission to make people matter more than money mainstream.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, implement and maintain partnerships that align with GoodParty.org’s objectives to source and support candidates running for office and grow the movement with Americans who are fed up with politics but care about their communities and country. Partners include political reform organizations, national and local advocacy organizations, influential advisors, and content creators. GoodParty.org is not fundraising so partnerships do not involve a donation or revenue component.
  • Turn ideas, insights, and existing relationships into plans you’ll execute on and tangible results we’ll achieve.
  • Liaise between partners and internal teams, facilitating communication and execution to ensure success.
  • Build relationships proactively with partners directly yourself or by proxy through GoodParty.org's most useful point of contact, with you recommending next steps behind the scenes.
  • Launch, lead, and ensure ongoing success of GoodParty.org’s Advisory Council, made up of individual advisors from technology, politics, marketing, and movement building.
  • Monitor engagement, health, and results toward target outcomes of all individual and organizational partnerships. Prioritize and intervene to keep relationship building and active partnerships on track. Utilize CRM to ensure success.
  • Evaluate opportunities, assess potential impacts, and make data-driven decisions. Continuously analyze performance and adapt strategies.
  • Plan and project manage results-driven activations at conferences, events, and Creator Community gatherings.
  • Meet with prospective or active partners with Farhad in Los Angeles as needed. Since this role is remote, work travel to other locations may be needed every month to two months, occasionally including weekends for events.
  • Report to GoodParty.org’s Chief Operating Officer and work collaboratively across all teams.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You’re up for the audacious challenge of building a thriving, diverse network of partners to unlock political representation for the majority of Americans!
  • You’re a proven A-player with a 5+ year track record of building and leading partnerships, including being the point of contact for important relationships.
  • You have some experience building partnerships that aren’t incentivized by money or commercial objectives. This could come from past nonprofit, advocacy, or political experience as staff or a volunteer.
  • You have a baseline understanding of how the American political system works.
  • You’re results driven and have a bias toward action. You index on what will move the needle to ensure partnerships drive tangible value. You come up with ways to pivot or move on if the timing or strategy doesn’t align.
  • You’re an effective communicator who authentically connects while simultaneously thinking strategically about where to take things next. You’re very skilled at positioning and making the right ask at the right time.
  • You’re organized to be able to keep hundreds of relationships on track month to month while staying focused on your most strategically important projects.
  • You advocate for using cutting edge technology to supercharge your work, including CRM best practices and using AI tools.
  • You thrive working at startup speed and setting the pace. Our solution is desperately needed and the issues of our time are all bottlenecked by our corrupted democracy.

Bonus if:

  • You’ve built partnerships for a cause, nonprofit, or movement.
  • You understand the political landscape, policy development processes, and how to navigate political sensitivities. You’ve worked with campaigns or other political entities.
  • You’ve used Hubspot as your CRM.
  • You’ve got experience studying, working, or volunteering in politics, civics, or democracy reform.
  • You’re sick of sitting on the sidelines watching our democracy fail to meet its potential.

Why you should work at GoodParty.org:

  • Join us in solving the biggest problem of our time – fixing our democracy – so all other problems can be solved
  • We’re a Public Benefit Corporation that prioritizes social impact over profit
  • Innovative Bitcoin denominated deferred bonus plan, allowing you to have the amazing upside of being in a startup while working on a truly meaningful mission
  • Work where and how you like, on a fully remote team spread across the country
  • Join a passionate team with diverse political views focused on one mission
  • 100% coverage of health, dental, and vision benefits for you and your dependents
  • We encourage you to take time off to recharge and have an unlimited PTO (sick and vacation) policy. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We believe a work-life balance is needed to get there.
  • We’ll make sure you’ve got what you need to work remotely through our workspace setup stipend
  • If you work from home, we give $50/month to help with your internet and other expenses. If you prefer co-working, that’s an option we can discuss too.
  • Fully funded for our mission. No stressing over whether the next round of funding will come through. Focus on making an impact. That’s what matters here.
