St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.
SCC invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of ESL and/or Intensive English part-time faculty to teach reading, writing, oral skills, and composition in English as a Second Language this upcoming semester and future semesters. Part-time appointments made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis.
Qualifications: A Master's degree in TESOL or applied linguistics is required. In addition, more than 15 graduate hours study in another sub-skill area, such as education, composition, reading/phonics, pronunciation, culture, writing, or foreign language, is a plus.
