Network Facility Design Engineer

Client is looking for a transport focused, network facility design engineer in the Richardson, TX area.

Network Facility Design Engineer:

Must haves:

7+ years experience in telecom engineering

Strong background in transport engineering/ detailed engineering or planning

Circuit design experience and installing/ testing equipment

Experience with BGW, Nautilus, Canvas or Granite databases

Prior experience with Ciena ULH or related vendor products (Infinera, Cisco, etc)

Pluses:

Prior facility design experience

Prior employment at Ciena working with ULH

Day to day:

An employer is looking for a Transport Design Engineer in the Richardson, TX area. Your primary responsibility will be to design/build requests for transport/ ULH engineering efforts. You will be receiving requests from the field to evaluate engineering specs and upload them into the database to update details tied to the project. You will then pass this to the transport build team once proper testing has been performed and approved. Additional tasks will include working with detailed engineering teams to verify project details, ensure all data is accurate in databases for tracking and verify designs align with related specs.
