About The Role

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the National Sales Manager, Hard Goods will be responsible for selling Epic Gardening and Botanical Interests hard goods into our wholesale partners. This person will spend significant time with customers, inspire and motivate our sales reps, and ensure our hard goods products are successfully positioned in the market. We are seeking a National Sales Manager with a strong background in selling into physical retail. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building a comprehensive sales playbook, and creating effective sell sheets.

WORKING HOURS & LOCATION

This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be located around the Broomfield, CO area for in-office collaboration. For salaried and hourly office employees at Epic Gardening, we reserve core working hours from 10 AM to 2 PM MST to ensure time for cross functional collaboration. Our warehouse employees can expect regular hours in alignment with our shift schedules.

Key Responsibilities & Impact

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to achieve company sales targets and expand our customer base in the physical retail sector.
  • Build, refine, and maintain a comprehensive sales playbook to standardize and optimize the sales process.
  • Create engaging and informative sell sheets and other sales materials to support the sales team and drive product awareness.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote our products and strengthen our brand presence.
  • Collaborate with product development and other internal teams to provide feedback and insights from the field.

OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS

Role

Our interview process for this role should take ~4 hours of your time in total. Normally, the process will look something like this:

  • A 20-25 min introductory chat with People & Culture to see if we think we’re a mutual fit
  • A 30-60 min chat with the hiring manager to understand your skills & background as well as understand our current landscape
  • A 45 minute panel discussion with key stakeholders you’d be working with on a day-to-day basis
  • A 20-25 min values & behavior alignment chat with our Founder & CEO, Kevin Espiritu or our President, Elliott Wilke to discuss what you bring to the role, how you might embody our values, and future vision for Epic Gardening

Compensation & Benefits & Perks

  • Base Compensation: This role is an internal level of advanced IC with base compensation starting at $100,000 depending on location, experience, and industry demands.
  • This role is eligible for a team performance bonus at 10%.
  • This role is eligible for an equity award of 10,000.
