National Solutions Division City Electric Supply (CES) – Anywhere USA - REMOTE


**Please note that this is a national account outside sales position (remote work). Travel is required.

Our National Solutions Division - Corporate Solutions Group offers complete electrical product line solutions, including lighting, lighting controls, switchgear, and maintenance supplies. Our services include lighting design, retrofits, pre and post construction planning, turnkey lighting installation, and maintenance programs.


Life as a National Sales Executive at CES:

The National Sales Executive, CES Corporate Solutions Group, develops new national or corporate customer relationships and maintains contact with established customers for the purpose of marketing, promoting, and selling City Electric Supply products and services. This person regularly interacts with new prospects and existing customers at the customer’s site of business or other off-site locations. Prospecting will focus on corporate customers with a multi-location business structure.


Your Objectives:

  • Maximize sales and profit from new and existing corporate customer base within your prospecting territory by developing sales plan, setting goals, and working with internal leadership, project team, branch network and key vendors.
  • Prospective customers should be headquartered in your prospecting territory but job sites can be anywhere.
  • Develop and maintain direct relationships with corporate customers, specifically those companies that have a multiple-location business structure.
  • Develop relationships with affiliated partners to include, but not limited to architects, designers, engineers, and lighting and non-lighting manufacturers
  • Local, regional, and national travel required. Car allowance & fuel card provided.
  • Maintain industry knowledge and trends by attending conferences, sales meetings and trainings.


Essential Skills & Experiences:

  • National Account lighting distribution or end-user direct experience required.
  • Use of CRM and/or Project Management software to manage customer opportunities.
  • Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles within a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing daily business via mobile phone apps including Office 365 software via company-issued tablet/laptop.
  • Ambitious, self-driven with the ability to succeed with minimal guidance.
  • Strong work ethic in a remote work environment with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers/stakeholders.
  • Desire to grow within our organization.


Desires Skills & Experiences:

  • Lighting, lighting controls and/or switchgear experience preferred.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.


Travel

Travel is required but primarily regional during the business week, although some out-of-area and overnight travel will be expected. Again, car allowance and fuel card are part of the benefits package.
