Galapagos Capital is a highly diversified full service investment firm with focus in Wealth and Asset Management, liquid and illiquid assets across a range of credit, real estate, multistrategies, permanent capital and IB.
The position is for a full time and in-office in Miami, Florida.
Responsibilities and assignments
In your daily routine:
Responsible for monitoring and evaluating major advanced economies and China.
Follow up statistical information and communication of central banks in EM and DM
Responsible for supporting business areas with information about the international scenario.
Development of econometric models for key macroeconomic variables.
Participation in morning calls highlighting key international events.
Preparation of daily and monthly reports on the international macroeconomic scenario.
Preparation of macroeconomic presentations, investor decks and investment committee material.
Requirements And Qualifications
What we expect from you:
Undergraduate Student in Economics or Finance
Experience in investment banking, asset management, or economic consulting.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills (knowledge of R and Python).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Self starter and strong initiative and work ethic.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple demands and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial analysis tools.
Good judgment, integrity, and professional ethics.
