About The Role

The Logistics Strategy Analyst manages transportation team programs spanning operations, data analytics, internal strategy and business planning. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Logistics and will work closely with the Head of Transportation and Manager, Logistics Analytics in executing team strategy, supporting front-line leaders, and building internal tools. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and able to collaborate with cross-functional partners in sales, operations, and finance.

What You Get To Do Everyday

  • Process and manage data reports from dispatchers and supervisors, and communicate with multiple parties to ensure data is received and entered in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor and improve shipping and transportation operations and finance performance
  • Manage month end close process for Transportation team vendors and bridge any variance to plan
  • Effectively lead and manage TRR’s in-house inventory control systems, partnering with Operations leaders to set goals, monitor performance, and diagnose issues
  • Provide key inputs into the budget process and work with Operations leaders to ensure compliance with agreed targets
  • Lead peak season command center;r coordinate successful service execution with all TRR carriers and address network disruptions
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to help diagnose areas to be improved in shipping and transportation

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field
  • 1-2 year work experience in an analytical or operational role in e-commerce, transportation or logistics
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Looker and Google Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently, multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to diagnose problems, identify root causes, develop potential solutions and assign appropriate corrective action
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different functions and diverse personalities
  • A self-starter and fast-learner

Preferred Requirements:

  • Candidate located near NYC/NJ, Phoenix, San Francisco or Los Angeles
  • APICS certificates

The expected salary range for this role is $57,317.00-$68,952.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
