Responsibilities

Experienced management professional responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and managing the team to accomplish demanding goals in an automotive supplier environment. This position will require deep experience in the automotive industry, success in new business development, and leading and motivating the sales team to grow the existing customer base and focused targeted new customers.

Additional Responsibilities Will Include

  • Development and deployment of America’s pursuit strategy aligned with Company's capabilities and capacity, and customer cycle plan and needs. Translate to a new business pursuit and acquisition plan that achieves BP objectives for the region.
  • Lead the sales team to ensure financial objectives are met/exceeded including profitable growth levels, financial KPI’s, customer reimbursement, and program measurables.
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
  • Define and execute optimal sales structure, skill sets required and ensure team is performing at a high level.
  • Develop and maintain high level strategic relationships with internal and external customer contacts in key strategic areas.
  • Play a key role in the management team as a leader in the business, with a high level of visibility.
  • Understand and communicate/sell current, and new technology via participation in tech shows, customer visits, and new business discussions.

Education Requirement(s)

  • BS degree (or equivalent) is required. MBA degree a plus.

Experience Requirement(s)

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in automotive sales, strategic planning, business management, leadership, and financial decision-making.
  • Prior experience interfacing with automotive industry leadership, including demonstrated experience in managing customer expectations.
  • Strong ability to understand customer goals & constraints with ability to articulate clear solutions and influence customer behaviors.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and evaluate sales team progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations.
  • Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities.
  • Motivated by the challenge of aggressive goals; comfortable with ambiguity; demonstrates personal integrity.
  • Experience in building strong relationships with key stakeholders and product development teams across the globe.
  • MS Office fluent.

Additional Information

  • Travel required; casual overtime required; position requires meetings with global teams during non-core business hours.
