Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. As Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal advice and support across various aspects of our business operations. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with laws and regulations while mitigating legal risks.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Legal Advisory:
• Provide expert legal counsel to management and various departments on legal implications and risks associated with business activities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to our industry.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the business.
• Litigation Management:
• Manage and oversee litigation matters, including coordinating with external counsel and representing the company in legal proceedings when necessary.
• Assess potential litigation risks and develop strategies to minimize exposure.
• Corporate Governance:
• Advise on corporate governance matters, including shareholder meetings, board meetings, and corporate filings.
• Assist in drafting corporate policies and procedures.
• Contract Management:
• Maintain and manage contract templates and databases.
• Provide guidance to departments on contract interpretation and enforceability.
• Intellectual Property:
• Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
• Assist in IP strategy development and enforcement.
• Training and Education:
• Conduct legal training sessions for employees on relevant legal topics and developments.
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar association and in good standing.
• X+ years of experience practicing law, preferably with X years in a corporate environment or related field.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
