About the Role

Create killer social content for one of the country's premiere cannabis brands

Green Dot Labs (GDL) is seeking a creative powerhouse Lead, Social Content Producer (Senior Manager) to join our team. You'll spearhead, conceptualize, shoot, edit, and finish all of our social media content – as well as content for our website and retail partners. Focusing primarily on video, but also including photo and interactive content, the Lead, Social Content Producer role is tailor-made for a dynamic individual with a flair for storytelling and a passion for crafting captivating narratives.


Responsibilities

  • Generate content that connects with our audiences while also achieving marketing objectives
  • Under the directives of marketing and creative leadership, lead and execute content projects through every phase of production – including creative development/conception, pre-production planning, budgeting, production/shooting, post-production, editing, and finishing/delivery
  • Following brand guidelines and in collaboration with the team, develop creative approaches, then execute and deliver content in various formats– primarily for social media (IG, TT, YT, LI), but also for sizzle reels, corporate videos, video news releases, lifestyle photography, and product photography.
  • Produce videos in long and short-form formats tailored to intended channels (IG, TT, YT, LI, web, and retail).
  • Maintain a pipeline of social content and manage a well-organized overarching content archive
  • Develop insights and optimizations based on performance and adapt future content development accordingly
  • Plan, source, and manage freelancers/freelance crews as needed depending upon production requirements
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects and related timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain production, editing equipment/software


Qualifications (5+ years)

  • Deep experience shooting, editing, producing, and publishing social-first video content, tailored for specific platforms (Instagram, TikTok,YouTube).
  • A track record of social video success, featuring opportunistic content, evergreen content, and repeatable content series.
  • Strong Videography & Photography skills: mobile, DSLR
  • Editing, Art & Design: Final Cut, Adobe Suite & After Effects, Canva
  • Writing/story development & copywriting for posts
  • Expertise in camera operations, lighting, and supplementary technologies such as drones
  • Familiarity with AI tools and processes that enhance production and post-production work
  • Deep knowledge of the social media landscape and social video best practices
  • Consumer-focused portfolio, emphasizing social-first video and photography. (Ads "nice to have.")
  • Background in studio and field production
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Responsible, accountable, flexible self-starter/self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to collaborate and foster strong cross-functional teamwork to achieve positive results.
