Taylor Research Group LLC (https://www.taylorresearchgroup.com) is a litigation and environmental research company that provides historical, investigative and analytical research services and support to law firms and businesses throughout the United States.
On a project-by-project basis, we contract with researchers to assist our staff on time-sensitive cases. TRG is currently seeking motivated and hard-working individuals with experience in primary source research at the National Archives, Library of Congress, or other archival repositories. Candidates with backgrounds in history, legal and/or environmental research, or archives and library sciences are encouraged to apply. Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills are also essential.
The junior research consultant position is ideal for candidates with 2-3 years primary source research experience. Recent college graduates based in the DC area would be considered if they have relevant educational background. Hourly wage is based on experience.
Company is located in Washington, DC. Work to mostly take place at a variety of Maryland and DC area repositories, including, but not limited to, the Library of Congress and the National Archives and Records Administration. Some travel may be required. (Consultant is responsible for his/her own method of transportation to and from repositories; not all are accessible via public transportation.)
The position will require between 30-40 hours per week, as needed. Must be available during regular business hours (8:30 AM to 5 PM).
