Job Description
As a Junior Data Scientist you will be an integral member of our interdisciplinary team focused on developing AI-driven tools and solutions for mental health assessment, intervention, and support. You will work closely with senior data scientists, researchers, and mental health experts to contribute to the development and implementation of NLP-based algorithms and models. Your role will involve analyzing large-scale text and behavioral data, building and fine-tuning machine learning models, and assisting in the design and execution of research projects. You will have the opportunity to create tools to make a positive impact in patients' lives.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior data scientists and mental health experts to understand project requirements and objectives.
Preprocess and analyze large-scale textual data, extracting meaningful insights related to mental health conditions and interventions.
Develop and implement NLP algorithms, models, and techniques to extract relevant information from text data.
Collaborate with our team of clinicians, psychologists, and psychiatrists to understand their needs and requirements for AI/Client-based mental health solutions.
Design and develop machine learning models for mental health applications, such as
predicting treatment outcomes, identifying high-risk individuals, or personalizing interventions
Work on data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering to prepare datasets for modeling.
Collaborate with the development team to integrate NLP models into our platform for real-world applications.
Assist in designing and executing experiments, A/B testing, and validation of AI-driven solutions.
Stay current with the latest advancements in NLP, AI, and mental health research to contribute fresh ideas and approaches.
Contribute to documentation, presentations, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Collaborate in a cross-functional environment with researchers, engineers, and product teams.
Qualifications
Prior experience working with mental health-related data in a healthcare or research environment.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or Psychology or Psychiatry with a focus on data research. PhD degree is a plus.
Strong understanding of NLP concepts, techniques, and methodologies.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with relevant libraries.
Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
