Paperless Post is seeking a Part-Time Junior Production Designer with strong design fundamentals to join our Content Design team: we're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing raw art assets for our industry-leading Cards and Flyer products, creating text layouts, and uploading files to our site using our back-end content management system- helping to troubleshoot simple technical issues where necessary. This role is remote and based in New York City. A little bit about the team Our multidisciplinary team is made up of illustrators, graphic designers, and production designers. We work together to develop and build content for the Paperless Post platform and collaborate with internal product and technology teams to ensure that content is displayed beautifully. Every day we create things that we are proud of and that are seen by millions of users. We're a close-knit team and whether we're brainstorming holiday designs, working with external brands to design a collection based on their aesthetic, or taking a team dim sum break, we have fun doing it. What you'll do here Produce content for both our proprietary Flyer and Cards products Prepare raw assets for production in Adobe Suite Upload files to production through our back-end content management system, troubleshooting simple technical issues as necessary Organize and archive design files for in-house and partnership projects Format and layout templates with our onsite tool Create text and color variations of existing designs for new categories Assist with key initiatives via admin work to resolve issues Collaborate with Content Designers and other cross-functional teams What you bring to the table Strong command of Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as working knowledge of InDesign. 1-2 years of related experience or 2 or 4 year degree in creative/visual arts field. Ability to work independently and be accountable for the accuracy of your work Comfort multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. An impeccable attention to detail and thorough organizational skills when working with a large number of files and assets Tools required: Command of the Adobe Suite (specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) Figma and Airtable are nice to have About the company Company-wide, we enjoy an amazing ecosystem of an even gender split and a balance of engineers and designers. The compensation range for this role is $25/hour and the expected commitment is up to 28 hours per week. At Paperless Post, compensation is based on a number of factors, including geographic location, job-related skills, years of experience, and internal team banding. All full-time offer packages come with a base salary, equity component, and options for fully paid medical, dental, and vision benefits. The range posted here is based on the NYC market and may vary based on candidate location.
