Interim Controller

Job Description:

As the Interim Controller, you will play a vital role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our organization during a transitional period. You will work closely with the finance team, reporting to the CFO, and will be responsible for maintaining financial controls, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role will require a strong background in finance and accounting, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and processes.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or CPA preferred).
• Proven experience in a senior financial role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Recent public company accounting experience
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems.
• Highly organized, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
