Meet the team:

The Software Platform team builds the base which Glydways uses to build its advanced technology, and the everyday systems that all employees leverage to do their work every day. The team is responsible for cloud infrastructure, software build infrastructure, customer facing applications, and company wide technology service management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, architect, and implement initiatives to improve how Glydways works with services, computing resources, and security.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in IT and cloud technologies, with a desire to continuously learn and grow.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of computer assets and user accounts, including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning.
  • Administer and support a variety of software applications, including Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and various license managers.
  • Provide end-user support, addressing technical issues and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems.
  • Manage accounts and access permissions for AWS and Tailscale, ensuring security and compliance with company policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in IT support, with a focus on solving user problems and fixing the root cause to reduce future problems.
  • Strong knowledge of administering company wide software applications like Google Workspace, Atlassian software, Zoom and Slack, and FlexLM license managers.
  • A proactive approach to identifying, implementing, and documenting improvements in IT processes.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Experience administering and maintaining computing hardware running Linux operating systems is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, and Terraform is a plus.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus.
