Indirect Tax Manager - Boston, MA

Onsite Position

$140K to $160K base

Open to relocating candidates

Responsibilities:

- Identifying U.S. state & local indirect tax issues related to new business initiatives.

- Researching state and local indirect tax issues including taxability of products and services.

- Provide tax reporting guidance based on research of transaction tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

- Respond to and resolve notices promptly.

- Review U.S. indirect tax filings.

- Review reconciliations of U.S. indirect tax general ledger accounts.

- Special projects as needed.

Required skills:

- Advanced knowledge of tax accounting, audit process, and tax law.

- Experience with preparing complicated tax returns for corporate.

- Detail-oriented, organized and able to deliver on tight timelines.

- Be able to work with multicultural teams and be patient and understanding.

- Be able to work with a fast paced start-up.

- Microsoft Excel proficient.

- Experience from a Big-4 public accounting firm is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.

- 5 or more years of U.S. indirect tax experience with a public accounting firm and/or multinational corporation.

- CPA required.
