McNally Restaurant Group operates iconic downtown restaurants Balthazar, Minetta Tavern and Morandi. We are currently looking for HR Manager to join our team. Our office environment is quiet and friendly and this Company is a great place to grow your career.

They stay up-to-date on HR Laws to ensure their company provides equal opportunities to employees and comply with various regulations. HR Manager should have excellent interpersonal communication skills as they need to communicate effectively with upper-management, job candidates and company employees of all levels. This position reports directly to CEO.


Responsibilities Include:

Working closely with upper management to implement beneficial HR policies and procedures and applying them consistently 

Managing employee’s full cycle from onboarding to exit interviews, including performance management 

Conducting performance reviews across departments and work with employees to create performance improvement plans

Promoting company’s open-door policies by building professional and trusting relationships with employees at all levels

Meeting with employees and their managers to discuss recent workplace incidents and determine a plan of action going forward

Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances

Maintaining organized employee files and HR records

Managing employees’ benefits, including health insurance eligibility and enrollment, review of medical invoices and annual open enrollment

Administration of leave programs 

Workers’ compensation management

Assisting employees with various inquires, such as leave and benefits questions, routine payroll questions, employment verification requests


Qualifications:

5+ years of HR experience as an HR Manager or HR Generalist strongly preferred

PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus

Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills

Proven expertise solving problems

Expertise in labor laws and regulations

Strong empathy and interpersonal skills


Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications experience
