About The Opportunity
In this pivotal role, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing and advancing the medical center's Case Management department. You will be responsible for ensuring effective utilization of resources, timely and accurate revenue cycle processes, and seamless patient care coordination. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives to optimize case management operations and ensure alignment with the medical center's overall goals.
Lead a team of case managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
Oversee the utilization review process, ensuring appropriate admission, level of care, length of stay, and authorization for post-acute services.
Implement and monitor national standards for case management scope of services, including medical necessity review and denial prevention.
Foster seamless patient care coordination by collaborating with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing case management practices.
Analyze case management data and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality of care, and cost-effectiveness.
Serve as a subject matter expert for case management regulations and standards, providing education and guidance to staff.
Champion continuous quality improvement initiatives within the Case Management department.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hospital case management leadership.
Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic case management programs.
In-depth knowledge of case management best practices, utilization review processes, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
