Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

Job Description

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for motorsports, music, and entertainment, and will be responsible for creating visually compelling graphics that align with our brand and engage our audience. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including promotional materials, social media graphics, event signage, and more.

Requirements

Requirements & Essential Functions:

  • Develop and design creative assets for print and digital media, including brochures, flyers, posters, banners, social media graphics, and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create visual concepts that effectively communicate the COTA brand and promote our events and experiences.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Create eye-catching and effective graphics for social media platforms, website updates, and online advertisements.
  • Design and produce event signage, merchandise graphics, and other promotional materials for various events hosted at COTA.
  • Work closely with the marketing and communications team to brainstorm and develop new creative ideas and campaigns.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually bring fresh ideas and innovative designs to the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in the sports, entertainment, or events industry.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work and design skills.
  • Excellent visual design skills with a strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Knowledge of video editing and motion graphics is a plus.

Physical Demand & Work Environments

  • Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
  • Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
