Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education, followed by a Master's or Doctoral degree in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs.

Special Education Teachers typically specialize in teaching specific groups such as K-12th grade, Mild-Moderate level students, or Severe Autistic students, often endorsed on their teaching license.

Experience with student evaluations, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Must hold an active Special Education State Teaching License.

Job Details

Start & End Date: 2024 - 2025 School Year

Hours: Full-time & Part-time available

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, customizing approaches to meet individual learning goals and requirements.

Assess student progress, adapt curriculum materials, and apply behavior management strategies to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
